Preventing Water Damage To Your Home or Office!

Water damage to your home can be slow and quiet, but by the time you do notice it, it can be too late.  Depending on when you catch the problem will result in the amount of work that needs to fix the problem.  Keeping an eye on potential problems in your home or business can definitely help to decrease the amount of damage.  

Here are a few things that you can look for as early signs of potential water damage.  

1. Is there any discoloration on your walls or ceiling?
2. Do you have any bubbling behind your wallpaper or between the paint and sheetrock?
3. Have you noticed any soft spots or warping of the walls?

If you have noticed any of these things, it would be a good idea to get someone to come out and check for moisture.  Catching this early enough can prevent the damage from spreading.  Once it is established that there is a problem, we can then work towards finding out where it's coming from and stopping it.  From there the damaged area can be removed and dried via a combination of extractors, vacuums, and air movers.   This would also be a good time to check the affected area for the potential growth of mold.
